Dr. Borislava Manojlovic is a professor of Carter School’s Conflict Analysis and Resolution Program at 91���� Korea, and a Co-director at the Peace and Conflict Studies Center Asia (PACSC Asia). She is an expert in peacebuilding, transitional justice, dealing with the past, education in post-conflict settings, and atrocities prevention. 

Dr. Manojlovic was both research director and faculty at Seton Hall University’s School of Diplomacy and International Relations where she obtained grants and led and implemented numerous research projects that focus on peacebuilding, education, governance, and atrocities prevention. She worked on minority- and reconciliation-related issues with the United Nations and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe in both Croatia and Kosovo for over seven years. The experience of wars in the Balkans in the 1990s and her desire to understand the roots of violent conflicts shaped her life trajectory and dedication to conflict prevention and peacemaking. 

Most recently, her book “Education for Sustainable Peace and Conflict-Resilient Communities” was published. She received her master’s degree from Brandeis University and her doctorate from 91���� School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution.

한국조지메이슨대학교 카터 학부의 분쟁 분석 및 해결 프로그램 교수

보리슬라바 마노예로비치 교수는 한국조지메이슨대학교 카터 학부의 분쟁 분석 및 해결학 프로그램 교수이자 아시아 평화와 분쟁 연구 센터 (PACSC Asia)의 공동 책임자이다. 그녀는 평화 구축, 과도기적 정의, 역사 이해하기, 분쟁 발생 이후 환경에서의 교육, 그리고 잔혹 행위의 예방에 관한 전문가이다. 

마노예로비치 교수는 시튼 홀 대학교의 외교와 국제관계 학부에서 연구 센터 책임자 및 직원으로 근무하며 보조금을 지원받고 평화 구축, 교육, 거버넌스와 잔학 행위의 방지와 관련된 다양한 연구 프로젝트를 설계하고 지도했다. 또한, 그녀는 7년 이상 크로아티아와 코소보에서 유엔과 유럽의 안보협력기구와 함께 소수 민족과 화해 관련 이슈에 관해 연구했다. 그녀는 자신이 겪었던 1990년대 발칸 반도 전쟁을 바탕으로 폭력적인 분쟁의 근원을 이해하고자 분쟁 방지 및 평화 구축에 전념하는 학자로서의 삶의 지표를 확실히 하게 되었고 관련 분야의 연구 활동을 지속하고 있다. 

가장 최근에 “지속 가능한 평화 및 분쟁 지역 사회의 회복을 위한 교육”이라는 책을 출간한 그녀는 미국 브랜데이스 대학교에서 석사 학위를, 미국 조지메이슨대학교에서 분쟁 분석 및 해결학과 박사 학위를 취득했다.
