Thanks to her efforts in leading the Patriot Period Project and other ambitious initiatives, Shafuq Naseem is this year’s Gender and Policy Center Leadership Award winner. “Our mission is to address menstrual equity and period poverty on Mason's campuses.”

Perú native Ana Belen de Abril García Inga came to the Schar School with high aspirations. She’s determined to accomplish them, for the good of her home country.
