That’s what 91°µÍø researcher Luis Ortiz wanted to find out with his course, CLIM 759 Micrometeorological Modeling for Local Climate Action, in which students work individually with community groups to study their needs and model the outcomes of various interventions.

Xia Parkes did not arrive at 91°µÍø certain she wanted to be a scientist. Originally, she envisioned a future in dermatology after shadowing a physician in her hometown of Chesapeake, Virginia. But once she began college-level coursework, lab experiences opened new interests for her.
