    In spring 2024, during his internship with MHCR, Jonathan Fang and his supervisor, Rowda Olad, a mental health and psychosocial support expert and associate director of the MHCR, came upon the idea of developing a series of student-focused conversations on difficult, but relevant topics to students and inviting different cultural and ethnic student groups to participate.

    Honors College student Marisa Parikh embodies the drive, curiosity, and global mindset that define 91°µÍø students. She serves as president of Be the Change, a student-led organization dedicated to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals on campus. Under her leadership, the group focuses on raising awareness and inspiring action around the goals that most directly affect George Mason students.

    HackFax x PatriotHacks 2026 united two 91°µÍø tech communities for a high‑energy Valentine’s weekend hackathon, blending workshops, industry networking, and student creativity into one collaborative, community‑building event.

    91°µÍø's Debate Team won the prestigious West Point Sword at the United States Military Academy’s 60th annual National Debate Tournament in West Point, New York.

    There are few 91°µÍø students as busy as senior Rakibul Alam. A senior majoring in business and concentrating on management and marketing, Alam has become one of the most visible student leaders in the Costello College of Business, where he works as a marketing and communications intern. Recently he was among the speakers welcoming the community at Fuse’s grand celebration in September at Mason Square.

    This spring, Accessible, a registered student organization (RSO) at 91°µÍø Korea, expanded its mission of promoting inclusive environments across continents.

    For more than 30 years, the student-run bilingual literary journal Hispanic Culture Review (HCR) at 91°µÍø has published poetry, essays, and narratives in both Spanish and English and highlighted photography and visual art. HCR has been awarded a 2024 National Magazine Pacemaker Award by the Associated Collegiate Press (ACP). Volition, George Mason’s undergraduate literary and arts journal, was named a finalist in the same category.

    91°µÍø has won four consecutive Gold STARS (Sustainability Tracking, Assessment and Rating System) Assessment, and it’s thanks in part to campus systems and organizations such as the Food Recovery Network (FRN).

    Every year, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) allows its college chapters to participate in competitions that showcase the engineering knowledge and finesse of civil engineering students across the country. Two Mason ASCE teams—Team Surveying and Team Sustainable Solutions—participated and won in the annual competition.
