Growing up, 91���� senior Haila Salaheddine was not a big fan of going to the dentist. “I was initially very fearful of the dentist. When I was living in Lebanon, there wasn’t really preventative care for oral hygiene,” said Salaheddine, a community health major.

Based on their years of research studying how student-athletes move, 91���� bioengineering professors Parag Chitnis and Siddhartha Sikdar have created a start-up called Myokinetics LLC with the goal of providing personalized rehabilitation programs for injured athletes.

91���� computer science major Nasrin Ali has a unique accomplishment—she has completed two internships with Microsoft and begins her third this summer.

The intersection of art and technology has long been a space for innovation, creativity, and exploration. At George Mason’s Mason Autonomy and Robotics Center (MARC) located within the College of Engineering and Computing, this connection has taken center stage with the Integrating Art and Tech Project.

When Daksha Magesh came to 91���� as a freshman in 2021, she already had an impressive resumé. The Honors College student was working for federal prosecutor Manka Dhingra of the 45th District from her hometown of Seattle, Washington. Magesh says that’s where her interest in law comes from.

After a year learning Russian in the Kyrgyzstan Republic, Anusha Chaluvadi begins her career at George Mason: Honors College, University Scholar, and a major in the Schar School’s International Security and Law undergraduate four-year degree program.

More than 250 people are working on the construction of the Fuse building at Mason Square, including 91���� rising senior Leslie Hernandez. “It’s my way of giving back to my school and community,” said Hernandez, who is majoring in civil and infrastructure engineering in the College of Engineering and Computing.

When Student Body President Maria Alejandra Romero Cuesta and Vice President Colin McAulay were looking at universities, 91����’s proximity to Washington, D.C., and Schar School of Policy and Government’s strong reputation made it a top choice for them both.
