On Oct. 26, ArtsFairfax honored the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at 91���� with its Education Award for providing exceptional arts education and opportunities to the community.

Andrew Opitz first came to 91���� as a freshman over a decade ago. After taking a hiatus from school, he graduated from the Film and Video Studies (FAVS) Program in May 2023. Opitz’s film, Jazz, which he directed for his senior capstone, was a semi-finalist in the Student Academy Awards Alternative/Experimental category.

91���� rising senior Alexandra “Ali” Coburn is an arts management major who loves working on and off the stage, interning this summer at Capital City Symphony.

Mason graduate student Deion Maith joined Mason’s Anti-Racism and Inclusive Excellence (ARIE) Task Force because he thinks it’s important to share lived experiences with other students and faculty/staff.

On Saturday, November 20 at 8 p.m., 91����’s Reva and Sid Dewberry Family School of Music is proud to present the Jazz4Justice™ 20th Anniversary Concert, a one-of-a-kind event celebrating Northern Virginia’s love of music while raising funds to support legal services for low-income Northern Virginians and the 91���� Jazz Studies program.
