Joining the Jurisprudence Learning Community fine-tuned Cameron Chambers’s career path.

New offerings and a healthy dose of competition leave campers happily humming along.

Eleven Mason Korea students stepped into a mentorship role this summer at the 2025 Incheon–ASEAN Global Youth Camp. Serving as more than mentors, the students became cultural bridges in a historic international initiative described by organizers as a “first step” toward lasting educational cooperation.

Since 2010, the Center for Community Mental Health’s (CCMH) mission has been twofold: train 91���� students to become behavioral health care professionals, and provide evidence-based, accessible, and affordable mental health care to members of the Northern Virginia community. 

91���� Environmental Science and Policy major Melanie Medrano has long aspired to work in the federal government, ideally on the front lines of creating meaningful environmental change. She took a major step toward that goal by starting an internship with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS, where she will assist in their communication efforts through December 2025.

In September, Antonin Scalia Law School’s Mason Veterans and Servicemembers Legal Clinic (M-VETS) advocated for a 91���� alumnus and U.S. Air Force veteran before the Department of Veterans Affairs Board of Veterans’ Appeals.

When 91���� cyber security engineering student Noah Hinger interned at Surefire Cyber in summer 2023, his managers were so impressed with his work that they invited him back. Thanks to his previous experience, the Honors College student was able to take on more responsibility this summer at the computer security company and contribute to more projects.

This summer, 91���� hosted the Pathways to Quantum Immersion Program, preparing high school students for careers in the rapidly emerging field of quantum science.

Fatima Majid was not just the only one-person team in the top 10 award winners at a recent National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) cyber competition, she was the only student team. Yet she placed ninth out of 51 teams, most of them comprising working professionals.

Costello College of Business hosted its inaugural Camp Costello: a three-day program for incoming first-year students.
