The Center for Government Contracting in the 91���� School of Business has been awarded a $671,000 contract from the Department of Defense (DoD), through the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)).

For Brad Greenwood, it’s all about the students. His demonstrated contributions to teaching (in addition to research and leadership/engagement) puts him among the “best of the best” says Dean Maury Peiperl, honoring Greenwood with a 2021 School of Business Dean’s Scholar Award.

Brian K. Ngac, instructor of Information Systems and Operations Management, was named one of 2021 Dean’s Teaching Faculty Fellows. Ngac, a soon to be Triple Patriot, graduated from 91���� in 2016 with a bachelor’s of science and again in 2017 with his master’s of science both in Applied Information Technology. Ngac is currently pursuing his doctorate in Information Technology at Mason’s College of Engineering & Computing.

The call to prioritize social responsibility alongside profits can often create “an institutional contradiction” with “increased potential for conflict.” Bridging the areas of management, innovation and entrepreneurship, Professor Toyah Miller’s research illuminates the issues that will determine whether companies succeed or fail in their newly broadened mission.

Jinyuan (Stephanie) Song joined the School of Business in the summer of 2019 as an assistant professor of management. One of the school’s research-focused faculty members, Song’s research interests focus on strategic leadership, organizational change, and stakeholder management in competition.

Recently graduated from George Mason School of Business, Daniel Logrono, BS ISOM ’20, didn’t wait to give back. Still fresh in his mind, Logrono’s memories as a student inspire him to serve as president of the Latino Alumni Chapter, and impact more students and alumni, encouraging them to remain Patriots for life.

Michael Hynes, BS Marketing ’03, is a supervisory special agent in the FBI, overseeing recruiting in Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia. With more than 100 different positions available at the Bureau, they benefit from a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Heather Vough, associate professor of management, is one of four faculty at 91���� School of Business to be named a recipient of the 2021 School of Business Dean’s Scholar Award.
